We grow in Somerset, UK under a Home Office cultivation licence. We use extra virgin olive oil in our Hemp & Olive oils from Kalamata, Greece.
Yes. All our plants have less than the legal limit of 0.2% THC per our licence. All our products are design to have no THC or trace amounts and always below 1mg in a dispensing volume. There is no chance of getting a "high" from our products.
No, we use beneficial insects such as ladybirds and lacewings to keep pests at bay.
Because we grow under glass we protect the crops from pesticides that could drift from other locations. We also grow in pots, meaning that we avoid any potential heavy metal contamination. Hemp is really good at absorbing heavy metals from soil and is often used to help decontaminate affected land.
We produce a traditional product that does not concentrate or isolate any of the active ingredients in the plant. Our cold press system is therefore considered outside of Novel foods. Where customers want extra strength products we add pure CBD which has a Novel Foods application submitted.
Our oil is has 86% unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. It's therefore health and part of what is described as a Mediterranean diet. We did extensive taste tests to select our oil and we thing you will agree that it is a great base. The choice oil is really important to us as it is added as part of our cold press system.
Many have opted to use MCT oil which is a highly processed oil derived from Palm Kernel Oil or Coconut oil. It is an energy intensive process that results in a flavourless saturated fat. It's a less healthy option and not something we believe belongs in a premium product.
No. It is not legal for a UK grower of hemp to sell leaves or flower from hemp, even if it has less than 0.2% THC, which ours does. Sorry.
